This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. The employee frequently is required to stand walk use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job operates in a professional office environment. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Intermediate to advanced computer literacy and proficiency with typing is required.
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in prepress & print operations preferred.
Follow all company policy as described in the Employee Handbook.Be punctual to work and show up consistently.Observe all safety rules and immediately report hazards to management.Perform all duties safely, wearing required personal protective equipment.Make plates using Agfa ApogeeX12 software and Agfa Avalon CTP system.Create impositions for plating using Agfa ApogeeX12 imposition software.Plan print jobs in accordance with the training you will receive.Create print proofs using various software packages.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. In this fast-paced environment you will be applying computer-based knowledge by managing and converting customer’s art into printable formats. The Prepress Technician is part of the print shop department and is an integral position within the company.
